Ash Content test is used to determine the total filler content in the material or if a material is filled. The test sample is burned in a porcelain pot for a certain period of time at a predetermined temperature, wherein the polymeric components are burned and unburned residue is brought to constant weight. The percentage content of polymer filler is calculated by ash residue amount.
